5 Jewish Celebrities Who Stood Up to Anti-Semitism This Year

Anti-Semitism is a real problem. Yes, even in 2016, it’s an issue–and one that many people just don’t want to see.

Anti-Semitism has been on the rise since the beginning of the year–and many incidents are happening on college campuses. According to the Observer, a recent study using over 100 institutions discovered that between January through June of 2016, 287 anti-Semitic incidents occurred at 64 schools, compared to 198 incidents that took place during the same time last year–this indicates a 45% increase.

This tense political climate is precisely why I rounded up some of my favorite quotes from Jewish celebrities, writers, and moms who had something to say about the growing anti-Semitism just from this past year alone. It’s important to stand together–and we can do that first by using our words to connect with each other.
