Music for Preschoolers
Jewish music your kids will love--that isn't mind-numbing for you
By Matthue Roth
Peter and Ellen are a husband-wife team that have been performing together for a decade. Little Taste of Torah is a fun, fast, folksy album. "For Trees" is a song that's just that--a list of the different ways that trees help us. There are clever takes on Moses' birth ("Baby Moses in a Basket") and the exodus from Egypt ("Wall of Water") that connect to Bible stories in fun, approachable ways. There's also a bevy of more straightforward songs that teach about Jewish observance--"Lashon Hara" is a surprisingly joyful jam about gossiping. This is the kind of music that will have your kids jumping up and down with their tambourines and maracas.
