Well, now we know what Aly Raisman is up to now that the Olympics are over. She’s apparently going to go on a double date with Oakland Raiders tight end Colton Underwood and his teammate Andrew East, who is married to fellow Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson.
So, how did this come about? In a video for Yahoo! Sports, Raisman talked about how fellow gymnasts Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson have been fighting over who is going to set her up with a date first.
Well, at the end of the video, Raisman got asked out by Underwood. The 24-year-old Underwood made it known that if Raisman was “ever in San Jose and want[ed] to go on a double-date with me and Andrew and Shawn, let me know.”
Without missing a beat, Raisman responded saying she was game, stating:
“They’ve actually told me about him before–he’s very cute. Yeah, I would go on a date with him.”
Apparently, Raisman is supposed to visit the area within the next month–which is good news for Underwood. Although, of course, the distance poses a barrier as Raisman (who is a Massachusetts native) is not so keen on long-distance relationships, stating:
“I’ve never done a long-distance relationship before, so I can’t really say, but obviously it’s more convenient if they’re closer to you.”
They also tweeted at each other (of course):
