Elisabeth Becker is a PhD candidate in Sociology at Yale University, where she studies European mosque communities in comparative perspective, as well as a principal investigator for the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, leading a project on the contributions of Muslims to New York City. She is mom to 3-year old Sami and currently finishing her first book, a memoir about cross-cultural marriage.
