- Canadian-Jewish rapper Drake hosted SNL this past Saturday, and his monologue (above) recreated his 1999 “multicultural” bar mitzvah. Jewish jokes, black jokes, and an epic “Black and Jewish” rap ensue. Enjoy. (NBC)
- Though they’re just learning to read and write, Sarah Jessica Parker is already teaching her girls some manners by making them write thank you cards. But not only are the girls polite; Parker says, “They’re all preternaturally gifted artists — they probably spend 80 percent of their free time drawing.” Kvell on, Sarah. (People)

- Scandal stars Katie Lowes and Adam Shapiro got married back in 2012, but their wedding is getting some attention after a video found on YouTube revealed that it was camp themed–that’s right: talent show, color wars, water sports, dancing–the works. Unfortunately the video has since been taken down from YouTube, but we can still use our imaginations, right? (HuffPost)
According to a source in the field, the TV show Big Bang Theory is the coolest show in the universe of 12-year-old kids. My kids aren’t quite there yet — oh, and we don’t own a TV — but if that’s what’s ahead for the American tweenerati, I have to say I’m in favor.
One other thing I’m dreading about my kids turning into independent human beings: Answering the Big Questions. You know — the ones about human existence, quantum physics and algebra, and who created the universe. Fortunately, some things I don’t have to answer myself. I can always hit “play” on YouTube — as soon as they’re old enough, that is — and leave the answers to Kveller’s own neuroscientist-in-residence Mayim Bialik.
