While it’s not unusual for many young girls to play Drake’s “Hotline Bling” at their bat mitzvahs, one girl got the experience of her life when Drake, who is Jewish, performed the song himself at her big bash, according to JTA.
Drizzy (as he sometimes calls himself) apparently crashed a New York City girl’s bat mitzvah and performed his famous song, along with his remix of Fetty Wap’s “My Way.”
Personally, I love the dance grooves he pulled out for the event. This isn’t the first time he’s performed at a bar mitzvah either; in 2011, Drake charged $250,000 to perform at the bar mitzvah of Jeff Zucker’s son, who was then the president of NBC Universal. When he was a kid himself, he attended a Jewish day school in Toronto, and had a bar mitzvah, which he spoofed on a “Saturday Night Live” episode two years ago.
Clearly this girl is the coolest teen at her school now. Check out the footage below:
