Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner Visit the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Grave Before Election

Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, visited the grave of the last Lubavitcher rebbe, Menaḥem Mendel Schneerson, in Queens, New York this past Saturday. According to JTA, speculators believe they went to pray for a victory for Ivanka’s father, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. So there’s that.

It’s not unusual to go to Schneerson’s grave, who died in 1994, as thousands of visitors venture there every year as a way to receive the blessings the rebbe supposedly gives to visitors from beyond the grave.

According to the Orthodox news service, Yeshiva World News, the visit happened around the same time an alleged assassination attempt against Donald Trump on Saturday in Reno, Nevada. Of course, Trump tweeted that he was the victim of an assassination attempt shortly after, although the Secret Service later said there was no threat to his life. So all in all, a strange day.
