Congregation B’nai Avraham together with Chabad of Brooklyn Heights and Kiddie Korner Preschool presents…
The Shabbat Block Party - A unique initiative designed to unite all those living in Downtown Brooklyn and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Partygoers are asked to unplug and leave their electronics at home, giving social media the night off. The aim of the event, promoted under the banner ‘REST IS COMING’, is to encourage Shabbat observance and the importance of resting on the seventh day.

These days every waking hour is spent with eyes glued to smartphones, we have lost the art of communication. The aim of the ‘REST IS COMING’ campaign is to draw people away from social media; remove them from the distractions of daily life, to focus on their family and friends without incessant buzzing, beeping and vibrating.

Come enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner, entertainment by local Chassidic pop talent, Moshe Hecht, and a special performance by Kiddie Korner Preschool. The party is free of charge and all are invited to attend, regardless of affiliation and background.

In addition, Congregation B’nai Avraham is offering free High Holiday seats for every individual who signs up and has never attended services before. Please note that there are limited seats available.

Check out to sign up and for more information.
