Mayim Bialik: Three Reasons Why LEGOLAND Still Rocks

I have written here before about why we love LEGOLAND┬áCalifornia over any other amusement park, but I wanted to restate it. Because we just went to celebrate Firstborn’s 9th birthday with two buddies of his, and it was honestly the best birthday time ever.

Making a Fabulous Birthday Party with Just One Hand

My oldest son turned 7 a few weeks ago. As I wrote about here, it was a really special and simple day and it was really lovely.

His birthday party was last weekend since every child we know also has a birthday in October and their parents snatched up all of the Sundays before and after his actual birthday but I’m not bitter it’s fine whatEVER. We hosted a few kids my son sees most days of the week at our homeschooling activities; I’d say these are his “closest” friends and he wanted a small party with the kids he sees most. My Sweet Tiny Boy Isn’t So Tiny Anymore

mayim bialik's son miles 7th birthdayMy older son turned 7 last week. He’s the one who made me a mama, unless you count my hairless cat Esau who I consider my true first son, but you probably don’t.

I’m actually off of work from The Big Bang Theory this week and my hand, although still super compromised and fairly useless, is better than it has been in the 8 weeks since my accident.

We asked Miles what he wanted to do for his special day a few weeks ago. He told us he wanted to do our every week Wednesday activity which is go to PE class, French class, and open play day which our homeschool community holds at a park. I was surprised he wanted to do “regular” stuff on his birthday, but also thought it was sweet he wanted to see all of his friends and have a normal day. Read the rest of this entry →
