Our parent company, 70 Faces Media, is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Associate Director of Development to lead our grant development process by identifying new sources of funding and facilitating all aspects of grant writing and reporting. She/he will also be responsible for developing initiatives to engage readers and donors in the annual campaign. 70 Faces Media is the largest and most diverse Jewish media organization in North America. This is a new position created to meet the ambitious fundraising goals of this merged organization (JTA and MyJewishLearning) by expanding and diversifying the organization’s base of support. The position reports to the Director of Development.
What you’ll do:
Increase donor prospect pipeline by identifying new sources of support and manage foundation and major donor relations by preparing proposals and reports
Communicate regularly with funders and help create materials and initiatives that reflect an energetic approach to cultivation and stewardship
Execute full-circle grassroots fundraising activities to achieve annual revenue goals including formulating strategies that focus on new donor acquisition and upgrading current donors to higher giving levels
Liaise with tech staff to assure that the infrastructure is in place to execute successful campaigns
Collaborate with audience development and editorial staff to develop peer-to-peer and other fundraising campaigns
Assist in the launch, execution and tracking of the Annual Board Campaign
Work with the Director of Development to establish and promote planned giving
Provide support to Board committees and task forces
What you have:
At least 3-5 years professional experience in proposal writing and annual campaign fundraising with a proven track record of success
Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and digital communication skills
Skill to handle a diverse workload with a great degree of flexibility
Ability to be a self-starter, independent worker and a team player
Integrity to handle confidential materials
A good work-life balance and a sense of humor
