Parenting is hard work and kids don’t come with instruction manuals. In addition to being a parent (or grandparent), many of us wear other hats as well such as: child, grandchild, and breadwinner.
Whether you are dealing with bullying, tantrums, learning disorders, or navigating the tricky waters of caring for aging parents, Jewish Community Services (JCS) can be there to lend a hand.
JCS programs and services include:
-Parenting resources, discussion groups, and consultations
-Career coaching and support for job seekers
-Services for children and adults with disabilities and special needs, and their families
-Mental health counseling and addiction services for children, adults, families, and seniors
–Programs for teens
-Risk avoidance programs focusing on issues such as: substance use and abuse, risky sexual activity, self-injury, depression, eating disorders, and bullying
-Support services and resources for older adults and caregivers
-Information, referrals, and connections to community resources
Serving the needs of individuals and families throughout Central Maryland, JCS has offices in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Howard County.
