Jewish musician Pink and her daughter, Willow Sage Hart, 14, recently took the stage of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” to sing a cover of the song “Hopeless War” from the Broadway show “The Outsiders.”
Their duet was sensational. It’s been clear these last few years that Willow inherited her mother’s talent and love for singing in duets, from their 2021 hit “Cover Me in Sunshine” to their impromptu rendition of the Hanukkah blessings. The two sound so lovely together and Pink’s love for her daughter is palpable across the TV screen.
The timing of their most recent performance was also harrowing as an actual war had begun just the past weekend between the U.S and Israel and Iran.
With all that, it was easy to miss a little detail — a beautiful and dainty Star of David necklace around Willow’s neck.
The necklace looks similar to the one Israeli activist and actor Noa Tishby gifted Pink when she visited her in her New York home ahead of Hanukkah back in 2025. Willow was also there, and the three of them indulged in sufganiyot (jelly-filled donuts) and talked Jewish traditions and pride. Pink also kvetched about how her Jewish mom, Judy Kugel, loves to tell her how she’s doing the holidays wrong.
In the video, Willow also shared that in the past year or so, she’s made a concrete effort to understand her Jewish heritage more.
“I didn’t like not knowing anything about who I am,” she told Tishby.
It’s clear that Willow feels more connected to her Jewish identity now, proudly wearing a Jewish symbol on a widely watched TV show and in December 2025 at an “All Out: Comedy About Ambition” event.
The “Kellyoke” duet was a really lovely way for the two of them to launch Pink’s week-long gig guest-hosting the show, which is going off the air in the fall of 2026.
Pink’s family recently relocated from their 200-acre vineyard home in Santa Barbara to New York City. We’re excited for her to spend more time enjoying her favorites, “fluffy matzah ball soup made from scratch, fried latkes, kugel and fresh warm challah,” at local delis.
“We actually moved here because I’m an amazing mom and also so Willow could study theater and experience more Broadway,” Pink explained after the rousing song intro, and credited her daughter for introducing her to the best music.
Later in the episode, Willow, whose dream is to star in a Broadway show, shared a segment she filmed at Lincoln Center with the cast of “Ragtime,” including her interview with one of the show’s Jewish stars, Caissie Levy. Pink and Willow also got to interview Jewish Broadway legend Shoshana Bean, with the two iconic Jewish moms singing one of the songs from Bean’s new album,”Only Smoke”
So far, it’s been a great week for Jewish pride at “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
