When you think LoveShackFancy, you probably think frilly sold out Stanley collabs and floral fairy-like outfits. But it turns out that aside from lacy sheets, puffed-sleeved dresses, pastel color activewear and Sephora fragrances, the lifestyle brand also sells a $300 menorah?
Perusing the LoveShackFancy website, we here at Kveller discovered quite a few Judaica items, which got us wondering: Why is there LoveShackFancy Judaica?!
Wait, before we get into it. What is LoveShackFancy?
In case you’ve lived under a rock for the past few years, or just don’t have a tween daughter, LoveShackFancy is a brand that’s known for its floral, bohemian, ethereal and vintage-inspired aesthetic, founded by former Cosmopolitan Senior Fashion Editor Rebecca Hessel Cohen.
Her first foray into clothing design was making the bridesmaid dresses for her own wedding. She loved the dress and even wore it to her friend’s wedding, and kept designing special occasion ware. Hessel Cohen started out with trunk shows in the Hamptons and now her brand, which she founded in 2013, has more than 20 brick and mortar locations around the world and collabs with brands like Pottery Barn, Stanley, Kendra Scott and more. Some famous clients who shop there for their kids include Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler and Sacha Baron Cohen.

So is the founder of LoveShackFancy Jewish?
Yes, Rebecca Hessel Cohen is Jewish. Her first inspiration for her aesthetic was her Jewish mom, a senior designer at Seventeen Magazine who dressed her daughter in regal vintage outfits and loved to take her to the magazine’s stylish photoshoots. They also visited the Ralph Lauren flagship store together often (yes, started by the Jewish Ralph Lipschitz); they lived not far, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Like Ralph Lauren, Rebecca — or as she’s known to her fans, Beck — has made her family and her life a brand. She fully embodies that LoveShackFancy vibe — she’s never not dressed in the flowy fantastical uniform. She’s a self-proclaimed real-life Glinda (the rosy upbeat witch from “Wicked,” in case you don’t get the reference). Her husband, Todd Cohen, a real estate developer, is the co-owner of LoveShackFancy.
Hessel Cohen is very proud of her Jewish identity. “I grew up in New York City with a hardworking Jewish mom who raised me to dream, and to think I could do anything and become anything. Being Jewish, proudly Jewish, was always a part of that life, but it wasn’t something I had to become. Rather it is a deep part of who I am and always will be,” she shared in 2024 while honored at an event organized by Jewish fashion designer Batsheva.
“LoveShackFancy has become my world, and it all began under our rose-filled arbor and chuppah at my mom’s house on our wedding day,” she continued, referring to her 2010 wedding which took place in her family’s Bridgehampton home. “That floral arbor has since become woven into the LoveShackFancy story, and will always be where we come home to and what inspires us. To all the amazingly talented Jewish girls out there — you should always feel proud and confident to become anything you dream of.”
So basically, when you are stepping into a LoveShackFancy store, you’re stepping into the aesthetic Hessel Cohen’s chuppah!
But wait, let’s get back to the LoveShackFancy Judaica
On the LoveShackFancy website you can find several pieces of Judaica.
The most fancy piece by far is a $300 dollar Olivia Riegel menorah covered in pink flowers. The homeware brand also shares it on their website and several other locations, but it’s undoubtedly tailor-made for the LoveShackFancy pink flower-filled aesthetic.
They also have Jewish jewelry from the NY brand Ouf! by Jewish creator Sara Benda.
And we’re not saying these are explicitly marketed as Shabbat candle stick holders, but also… are they not Shabbat candle stick holders?
Speaking of Shabbat, turns out you can’t celebrate the Jewish day of rest without a challah knife, which we didn’t even know was a thing, but which LoveShackFancy also carries.
Over on Pottery Barn, you can also find a LoveShackFancy menorah with flowers on it and a very sturdy-looking Hanukkah throw.
And this week, on Nov. 19, the brand launched its new Hanukkah pajamas with Roller Rabbit. Their Starry Nights pajamas feature the brand’s signature monkey, as well as LoveShackFancy’s signature ribbon, Stars of David, menorahs, dreidels and gifts. The collection also includes adorable Hanukkah dog pajamas, a dreidel ornament for your mantle or interfaith celebration, socks and makeup bags, so you can really celebrate Hanukkah in style.
I, for one, would love to see a full-on LoveShackFancy Judaica line. A pink seder plate? A floral lace challah cover (so many vintage challah covers are very LoveShackFacy coded!)? Recreations of the original chuppah that started it all? How can we make this happen?
Editor’s note: This piece was updated on Wednesday, Nov. 19, with more LoveShackFancy Judaica.
It's hard to believe this menorah isn't an OG LoveShackFancy design! Can you imagine lighting it on the first night of Hanukkah in your LoveShackFancy finest?!
Are these Shabbat candle holders or just cute girly candle holders for your pink tappered candle collection? I'm going to choose to say they're the former, because why else would they come a set of two?! I need them very much.
A beautiful accessory to wear with some loud pink bangles to show off your Jewish pride. From the Miami and Aspen based brand of designer Alexa Meyer Mufson.
Ward off the evil eye and show off your Jewish pride, with a little extra touch of pink.
Cozy and frilly, with accurate Hanukkah details and colors that aren't just blue, I think this LoveShackFancy Hanukkah pajama is a pretty solid one!
We love to see dad join in on the frilly Hanukkah fun.
Give your Jewish baby an early introduction into the LoveShackFancy lifestyle.
We predict your daughter will be obsessed with this pajama way beyond Hanukkah.
Is there anything cuter than a pet pajama?
This dreamy menorah comes with either roses or ribbons, as a LoveShackFancy menorah does.
A Hanukkah garland that definitely leans into the fancy in LoveShackFancy.
I can't think of anything better to cuddle under this Hanukkah than this classy throw. Just don't eat any jelly filled sufaniyot on it.
There are no Hebre letters on this dreidel, but it has a lot of charm.
Some of the more fun Jewish socks I've ever seen.
For everything your tween buys with their Sephora gift card this holiday season. Also great for keeping your dreidel collection.
LoveShackFancy Challah Knife
Not sure why but I'm pretty sure I need this challah knife.
