It’s heartbreaking knowing anyone is being bullied. It’s especially heartbreaking when that person is your own child. One mom recently took a powerful video of her son crying, describing the pain of being bullied — and the video has now gone viral. It’s now been viewed more than 18 million times on his mom’s Facebook page.
Tennessee student Keaton Jones got emotional when he was sitting his the car with his mom, Kimberly Jones, saying how he was scared to go to lunch because other kids bully him about being ugly and not having friends. He said tearfully, “They make fun of my nose. They call me ugly. They say I have no friends.”

But Keaton also talked about how bullying isn’t OK in general — and that we shouldn’t perpetuate, saying, “I don’t like that they do it to me. And I, for sure, don’t like that they do it to other people, cause it’s not okay! People that are different don’t need to be criticized about it. It’s not their fault.”
What’s just as important as not bullying, however, is to call out bullying and stop it from continuing. In this way, we all have a part to play, and Keaton sure does his part. He is able to look through his pain to ask the bigger question of why people bully and why it’s wrong.
