Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins By Eric Kimmel
One cold winter night, a wandering man named Hershel happens upon a small town (called Ostropol) immobilized by fear. With cleverness and a bit of deception, he outwits the pack of evil goblins who keep the town from lighting its Hanukkah candles each year, and becomes a hero–to such a degree that in my house, my four-year-old runs around screaming “Batman of Ostropol!”
