The live-action move for Lion King is going to be a wonder — and the cast is so chock full of talent, pretty much everyone is excited about it. It’s giving us life, seriously — as well as something to look forward to. It’s slated to hit theaters on July 19, 2019.
The cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl Jones as Simba’s dad, Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, John Oliver as Zazu, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Eric Andre as Azizi, and Billy Eichner as Timon. And best of all, Beyoncé (!!!) is playing Nala.
Frankly, it’s amazing to see such diverse casting, proving to kids that there isn’t just one way to look or be.
The film will feature real images of African landscapes and animals (elephants, lions, and more), according to Hollywood Reporter. Eichner and Rogen were among those who took to Twitter to express their excitement over the movie:

Can’t wait for it to come out. Do you think Beyoncé will have everyone come out in proper formation? Only time will tell…
