Aly Raisman Gushes About Boyfriend Colton Underwood, Says He’s ‘Very Thoughtful’

Our favorite Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman has a new boyfriend. She and football player Colton Underwood went public with their relationship this past December. Well, they also just hit the red carpet together yesterday at the Golden Globes. They were also together the day before at the 4th Annual Gold Meets Golden event at Equinox.

When 22-year-old Raisman and 24-year-old Underwood were asked how they deal with the distance, Raisman said they actually spend a lot of time together–and Underwood explained to PEOPLE:

“We really do. Between events, and her traveling and me traveling right now, even the first night we went on the date, it just works out.”

The two-time Jewish Olympian explained that it’s also not about what they do while they’re together, but just making time to actually have quality time, even if it’s just a coffee date:

“I think just for us just having quality time together is great,” Underwood says. “She has such a busy schedule that there’s something always on our schedule, always on our agenda, that anytime we can make something like this that is on our schedule into a little date or or time, it’s great.”

That being said, we all know that the heart grows fonder when you miss someone–and it seems that while Underwood is young, he understands the importance of being thoughtful (hint hint to all of our partners out there). He mentioned that he likes to do something thoughtful for her while they’re not together, stating:

“She loves fruit, so I sent her a fruit basket.”

Raisman jumped in, adding that he’s very “sweet”:

“He’ll randomly do little stuff like that, which is really sweet. He’s just a very thoughtful person, but we both try to do stuff that like, little things.”

Oh, young love.
