Amy Schumer’s Memoir Sold for $8 to 10 Million

If you’re a writer, it’s OK to feel a little jealous right now. Whose book gets sold for $8-10 million? Amy Schumer’s book, that’s who, according to Entertainment Weekly. Besides winning an Emmy, she’s now going to be a famous writer.

According to EW, the tentative title of the book is “The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo,” which is scheduled to be released by Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books in 2016. The auction concluded last Friday with the winning bid falling somewhere between $8-10 million. Those are some pretty expensive words.

In a statement released through Gallery, Schumer said, “Believe it or not, there’s actually more I have to say.” Since she’s already pretty open, we’re definitely left intrigued by this. (Which, of course, is exactly how you drum up excitement for a new release.)

She’s not doing too shabby for a 34-year-old comedian and actress, who besides winning an Emmy, already had a hit film this summer with “Trainwreck,” opened for Madonna at Madison Square Garden, and will host “Saturday Night Live” later this fall.

Girl is on fire.
