It’s a surprise baby!
Comedian Andy Samberg and his wife, musician Joanna Newsom, just welcomed a baby girl, their first child, together. Most people didn’t even realize the couple were expecting, as they never publicly announced the news.
35-year-old Newsom, 35, told Larry King back in 2015 that she and 38-year-old Samberg, were thinking about becoming parents, saying,“Little harpist Samberg, thank you for putting that image in my head.”
She went on to say that Samberg is “my favorite person in the world. He’s the person I would most want to hang out with at any given moment,” she said. “He’s probably the biggest superfan of my music.”
Meanwhile Samberg told reporters in 2016 that he “would love a baby someday.”
So…looks like their dreams have come true. The couple dated for five years before they married in September 2013 at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, California.
So, how did they meet? Through friends, of course. Apparently, Samberg had a big “crush” on Newsom. Mazel tov to the happy family!
