‘Frozen’ Is Officially Coming to Broadway in 2018

That’s right. It’s your kid’s greatest dream (and perhaps your nightmare, because you’re tired of listening to the soundtrack already). Disney just announced that “Frozen” will debut on Broadway in 2018, which is no surprise considering it’s the highest-grossing animated film of all time.

The stage adaptation will bring together many of the same stars who appeared in the original movie, like Robert Lopez, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, and Jennifer Lee. This is the 10th Broadway adaptation of a Disney film–which basically means it’s just another really expensive activity to do with your kid.

In addition to an animated holiday special that will bring together Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad again in 2017, Disney also announced back in March that an official sequel with all of the original cast members is in the works. If you forgot (which you probably did because you have a life), the film grossed $1.28 billion at the worldwide box office, and won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. NBD.

Personally, though, I’m all about Channing Tatum’s reintrepretation of “Frozen.”
