Mila Kunis Reveals Her Terrifying Parenting Mistake That We All Fear

Being a parent is kind of the scariest thing you could ever do. Because, you know, there’s just a lot that could go wrong. At the end of the day, it’s kind of incredible to realize all the things you’ve done. This is why we’re so glad Mila Kunis opened up to Babble recently about a parenting mistake she made that scared her.

Apparently, she was preparing for a small road trip to visit her husband Ashton Kutcher at work–which means it would be her first solo-trip with her baby:

“You have to pack all this stuff up in anticipation of everything going horribly wrong with the first baby. And I was like, ‘I did it.’ I put her in the car. Like, I high-five myself. [As] I’m driving down the 101, I was like ‘Oh my God, I’m doing really good today.’

She was being really quiet, and I was like, ‘Oh, let me look in the rearview mirror to make sure everything’s okay.’ And I look, and she’s happy as can be, but just not nearly strapped in.”

She forgot to strap her baby in the car seat properly. She recalled how horrified she was, stating:

“I was like, oh, f*ck me.’ And I’m on the 101, and she’s just like blah, like fine in her car seat, nothing, no strap whatsoever. And I think I just turned white.”

Everyone has been in that position before, whether it’s with a car seat, forgetting snacks, accidentally dropping your baby, or who knows what. It’s especially hard when you’re doing it yourself.

With stories like these, there’s a silver lining to be seen: It happens to the best of us. And it’s also always OK to ask for help.
