– Hello Kitty has officially been sent into space, thanks to 12-year-old Lauren Rojas who crafted a rocket for a science project and used a Hello Kitty doll as the astronaut. The doll reached 93,625 feet and captured some amazing video footage. (ABC News)
– Dolce & Gabanna has released a new fragrance for babies. The perfume is meant to enhance that new baby smell and gets its inspiration from “the softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet hug, [and] the first smile.” Okay then. (TIME)
– Ten women were detained by Israeli police at the Western Wall on Monday for wearing prayer shawls, including Susan Silverman, a reform rabbi and comedian Sarah Silverman’s sister. (Forward)
