It’s an extremely difficult time for our favorite Jewish comedian Sarah Silverman; Silverman announced on Twitter last night that her mother died last Wednesday at age 73. Her mother, Beth Ann O’Hara, directed over 50 plays in 25 years–an impressive feat.
She shared this photo of her beloved mom on Twitter, writing these kind words:
In 2003, Silverman even presented her mother with a lifetime achievement award at the New Hampshire Theatre Awards, stating:
“Loving, nurturing, caring, colorful – she used to wear two different color socks, I’m not sure she was aware of that – supportive, honest, strong and with endless creativity and energy. She gives us the feeling that we fill her heart with love and I think it’s because we fill her heart with love. Mom…we feel the same. You fill our hearts, as well.”
