Listening to music with your kids while driving has been one of the most common ways to bond–you have to go places and everyone loves music–so it’s the best of both worlds. Sure, your kid may not be as into The Rolling Stones as you are, but you’re passing down your love of music–and educating your kid about all the cool stuff that came out before they were (probably) born.
Well, that’s exactly what one dad did when he created a video showing his son singing with him along to Frank Sinatra’s “Me and My Shadow.” The video already has almost 400,000 views–and it’s easy to see why. The father and son duo, 36-year-old Matt Clayton and his 6-year-old son Archie, are really just two peas in a pod–and you can tell his son is actually having fun, not just humoring his day. And they’re actually quite good.
Of course, it’s not too surprising, Clayton is a professional, as he sings in a swing band called Our Way. He apparently posted the video as a nudge to his band-mates, stating:
“We are always doing it, but this time, I thought I would film it and put it online as a dig at one of my band-mates that my son might be better at singing Sinatra than him.”
Regardless of whether Archie is actually better or not (no need to compare), he’s pretty good on his own!
