The Seinfelds are kind of one of the most adorable families ever–and it’s easy to see from their holiday card. The family didn’t pose for a professional photo–they just took one on the fly while skiing. How they took one, of course, warms my heart.
Jessica Seinfeld, Jerry’s wife, posted the photo on Instagram, writing:
“And for one half of a second, they stopped fighting. I am about to lose it. This is our holiday card because I didn’t do one. Happy holidays. If we make it to 2017 it will be a miracle.”
I absolutely love what she wrote–it’s not only short, sweet, and to the point, but it’s real. Every family argues, every family tries to capture that “perfect” family moment in a photo, but no family is perfect. While holiday photos are awesome for keepsake purposes, they lie. They don’t show the stuff behind the smiles–the fights, the crying, the frustrations–which are all a part of being a family. So, I appreciate what she said, because we all need to hear it–and laugh about it, too.
The 45-year-old is a mom of three with her 62-year-old husband, Jerry. Their kids are growing up, with their oldest Sascha at 16, followed by Julian, 13, and Shepherd, 11. What’s even sweeter, however, is the fact that the couple celebrated their 17th anniversary as well, posting a video to celebrate it:
“Keeping it Fresh after 17 years, today.”
