Patty Jenkins, director of “Wonder Woman,” is officially done negotiating with Warner Bros., and it looks like the the sequel is happening. “Wonder Woman 2” is slated to hit theaters on
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenkins is currently the highest-paid female filmmaker in history–and the studio underestimated how much money “Wonder Woman” would make (because sexism is real). As of now, the film is said to have made over “$103 million opening weekend, and grossed over $402 million domestically and $800 million worldwide.”
The report also mentions that Jenkins will make about $7-9 million dollars for writing and directing the sequel. Can’t wait to see the powerful, fun energy the sequel will offer.
