‘Wonder Woman’ Is Currently the Most Successful DC Universe Movie

In case you needed the reminder, or didn’t know, “Wonder Woman” is now officially the biggest earning DC Universe movie, beating out “Batman v Superman” box office runs. That’s a big deal for female-fronted superhero movies–and female directors.

Apparently, the movie now garnered $325.1M in North America so far–and this holiday week and weekend, it’s expected to surpass $331 million. As Forbes reported, “Wonder Woman” has already surpassed “Man of Steel” around the world, going on to that if it “finishes with $800 million, consider that it will be only 10% behind a film that featured Batman and Superman together as lead characters with Wonder Woman in a supporting role.”

#TBT to this day ❤ #WonderWoman #Thankful

Gal Gadot clearly struck some chords, and for the better, in her latest and biggest role yet. I’m curious to see what happens in the future with the franchise–and her forthcoming roles in general.

Hello, July 💋☀
