Decorating Your Sukkah

This is one of our green crafts that reuse household objects and turn them into symbolic or ritual objects for the Jewish holidays.

Paper chains are a traditional sukkah decoration. They can be made from any kind of paper, but I like using old magazines to add some interesting color and texture.

You will need:

Old magazines or catalogs
Scissors
Scotch tape

Instructions:

1. Cut vertical strips of paper from the magazines or catalogs.

2. Form one into a ring and tape it together.

3. Then form a new loop of paper and make sure it goes through the first one before you tape it.

4. You can cut the paper in any width or length. Keep going until the chain is your desired length.
