On the music industry’s biggest night of the year, the biggest star on the planet brought some Israeli high couture to the main stage. Beyoncé, who graced the stage to present Record of the Year, wore a wedding gown (!) designed by Inbal Dror, an Israeli-born designer of bridal and evening gowns based out of Tel Aviv.
This comes on the heels of an announcement that Queen Bey is scheduled to perform in Israel for the first time this August, at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park (which yes, activists are already urging her to boycott), so it seems like the pop star is definitely getting in the Israeli spirit.

As for the dress itself? Well… personally… I’m not the biggest fan. The mesh cut-outs at the thighs just aren’t really doing it for me. But that’s the thing about Beyoncé–she could wear literally anything and always look amazing. Besides, other, more qualified people (who probably aren’t wearing three different shades of blue right now, unlike, ahem, me) seemed to really dig it.
So mazel tov, Beyoncé. And double mazel tov to Inbal Dror.
