It’s never to early to become politically active and aware–and to be fearless in standing up for your beliefs. Chelsea Clinton reminds us all this when she brought her 2-year-old daughter, Charlotte, to her a protest rally this past weekend in New York City.
The 36-year-old mom attend the “Today, I Am a Muslim Too” rally that took place on Sunday in Times Square, New York. Clinton captured the moment and posted a photo to Twitter, citing how thankful she is to the people who organized the event–which protested President Donald Trump’s temporary ban on all refugees and travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries.

While Charlotte is probably too young to really understand what’s happening, and may not remember being at the protest, her mother is setting a great example by not only going to the protest, but by bringing her along. Regardless of your political beliefs, there is something to be said of a mom teaching her daughter to be actively engaged in the world around her–and to think outside of herself–and instill the belief that it’s important to help others and spread a little tikkun olam.
The mother-daughter dup were two of about 1,000 others who gathered in Times Square to stand up for the rights of others, including co-hosts Russell Simmons and Mayor Bill DeBlasio.
