Strong Jewish women (and fans of strong Jewish women) rejoice! Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman will be playing SCOTUS Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a biopic entitled, “On the Basis of Sex.”
The film will be focusing on the Notorious RBG’s different fights for equality throughout her career–hopefully including her most recent fight for marriage equality. SCOTUS is due to issue a verdict on whether states should be able to ban same sex marriage next month.

Jezebel is (unsurprisingly) unhappy with the casting choice, but considering Natalie Portman is a) a mensch and b) an amazing actress, we’re pretty excited to see where this movie goes.
