We’re not naive to the long-standing trend of elaborate celebrity baby names, but every now and again one so extravagant comes along that we need to pause and acknowledge it.
According to TMZ–who obtained the birth certificate of Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher’s baby boy because that’s, you know, what they do–the Jewish actor and actress’s baby boy born last month was named Montgomery Moses Brian Baron Cohen. That’s a mouthful if we’ve ever seen one. On the upside, they can call him Monty for short.
We are, of course, very glad to see good ole Moses in there between the capital of Alabama and a surprisingly generic name. We just feel bad for whoever needs to embroider his name on his mouse ears at Disney World.
