Exciting news: The season 2 premiere of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was officially announced today.
The Emmy-award winning show is coming back on December 5th. Mark your calendars now. And huge bonus: that’s the fourth night of Hanukkah — you can watch the entire season on demand on Amazon Prime as a gift to yourself.
Wondering what to expect in season 2? We’ve got you covered. The teaser trailer premiered this summer, featuring Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) dating again, Joel (Michael Zegen) beginning to work with his dad, and a trip to the Catskills.
Along with the premiere date announcement, the full trailer was posted:
We have a feeling this season is going to be about Midge navigating her separation, co-parenting, and a blossoming comedy career. In the trailer, Midge says, “I want to be successful, but I haven’t told my friends or my parents. Except my ex. He knows.”
It’s also going to be very Jewish (there’s a Yom Kippur scene, because the teaser trailer showed Midge’s parents saying the vidui, or confessional prayer).
We cannot wait for our favorite Jewish show to return, and we have a feeling season 2 is going to be, well, marvelous.
