The Social Justice Twist on ‘Dayenu’

In such a tumultuous political time, it’s a gift to be reminded of kindness and social justice in our community. This is why I love the fact that the American Jewish World Service recently made this video about how the popular Passover song “Dayenu” can be used to promote equality.

In the video, different people from the Jewish community talked about the changes they want to see–such as having equal rights for the LGBTQ community, women, and people of color. Here’s some of my favorite responses from the video as to what would be enough for us:

“When women and girls can design their own futures.”

“If there was a world without violence.”

“If I didn’t have to teach my daughter about sexual harassment and rape.”
