Did you know that August is one of the most popular times to give birth in America? Did you also know Americans pay the most to give birth? Well, according to a new study from WalletHub, all of this is true.

The site analyzed all 50 states when it comes to cost, health care accessibility, and baby-friendliness—where does your state stack up?

Lowest 10:

When it comes to high C-section charges, New Jersey takes the cake, unlike Maryland, which is the lowest. Meanwhile, the lowest infant care costs is Mississippi, versus the highest being D.C.

The scariest part of it? The highest infant mortality rate is Mississippi, which we recently saw also has big problems with children’s well-being and health–while the lowest rate of infant death is in New Hampshire.
