These Celebrity Moms Care a Whole Hell of a Lot About Mental Health (Episode 28)

Your Mom cares

This week on the Call Your Mother podcast, Jordana is hosting two moms who have famous (Jewish!) children. But here’s the thing: They’ve used their proximity to celebrity for a good cause.

Sharon Feldstein is the mother to beloved actors Beanie Feldstein (Lady Bird, Booksmart) and Jonah Hill (Superbad, Wolf of Wall Street), and Patsy Noah is mom to Maroon 5’s frontman Adam Levine. The two of them have redirected their (vicarious) celebrity spotlight to their endeavor Your Mom Cares, which provides funding for innovative mental health initiatives for children.

Sharon and Patsy are personality polar opposites — Sharon loves the spotlight; Patsy is more of an introvert — but they’ve been BFFs since they were 17 years old and they raised their children together. The two kibitz with Jordana about the remarkable coincidence of having famous children, the price of fame, as well as appreciating when the spotlight can be used to help others.

But that’s not all! Jordana gives Shannon a call to check in about how her maternity leave is going, and to get a quick spontaneous #blessed shoutout.
