New Zealand dad Jordan Watson really knows how to make us laugh. This time, he’s making us laugh about car seats. We all know the importance of correctly installing a car seat. Oddly, however, it’s also a task that seems ridiculously confusing (and controversial) how to do it the “right way.”
Well, this is where Watson comes in–he posted a new instructional video on his popular Facebook page, “How to Dad.” In his new parody video, “How To Install A Baby Car Seat,” he shows his audience two installation methods:
1. Effortlessly placing the car seat in the vehicle and correctly attaching everything within a few minutes.
2. Struggling with the car seat before inevitably giving up and deciding to walk everywhere with the car seat strapped to his chest.
We love how Watson uses humor to take on a controversial topic in parenting–which is also a serious issue. In the U.S. alone, about 75% of car seats are installed incorrectly–which is a lot of car seats. But not to worry, there are plenty of helpful resources online to help parents keep their babies safe in cars, such as informational websites and safety tips from the experts.
