Gal Gadot Gave Her 4th Daughter a Beautiful Hebrew Name

Many were surprised to discover that the "Wonder Woman" star had been pregnant.

Mazel tov to Gal Gadot and Yaron Varsano, who just welcomed their fourth baby girl, and gave her the beautiful Hebrew name: Ori.

The Israeli “Wonder Woman” and “Heart of Stone” actress and her husband posted a picture of Gadot at the hospital holding their family’s newest addition and doing some skin-to-skin, with the baby covered in a hospital blanket and wearing one of the those adorable striped hospital hats, her face hidden by her mom’s hand.

“My sweet girl, welcome. The pregnancy was not easy and we made it through. You have brought so much light into our lives, living up to your name, Ori, which means ‘my light’ in Hebrew. Our hearts are full of gratitude. Welcome to the house of girls,” she wrote, adding, “daddy is pretty cool too.”

“Bliss! Thank you my beautiful strong lioness,” Varsano wrote on Instagram, sharing the same picture and calling his wife “forever my beating heart.”

Ori has traditionally been a boy’s name, but recently it is increasingly used as a unisex one. As a fellow person with a unisex Hebrew name that includes light, or “or,” I’d like to welcome the newborn to this very special Jewish name tribe. I’m sure she’ll bring lots of light to all.

Ori joins sisters Alma, 12, Maya, 7, and Daniella, 2. The Gadot-Varsano family is fairly private about their daughters, covering their faces with emojis on infrequent social media posts featuring the kids. Yet Alma and Maya did have a cameo in “Wonder Woman: 1984,” and Alma has some professional voice-acting creds — she played a very cute hatchling in “Angry Birds 2.”

For those of you surprised to discover that Gadot was even pregnant — welcome to the club! While a paparazzi shot did spot Gadot with her baby bump in December, the actress has been pretty mum about her pregnancy, at least on social media. That might be because, since October 7, she’s been busy posting about the hostage crisis in Israel as well as speaking out about the denial of the sexual assault that happened during the attack.
