Jewish Mom Jenna Jameson Opens Up About Struggle to Lose Baby Weight

Ex-adult film star Jenna Jameson has never been shy about, um, exposing herself on the Internet — whether it’s her nude body, her struggle with sobriety, her thoughts on breastfeeding (very pro!) and her love of kosher food.

On Monday, Jameson — who is married to an Israeli businessman — shared a before and after photo on Instagram that addressed her struggle to lose weight after giving birth in April 2017 to her daughter, Batel Lu. (And, yes! That’s a Hebrew name, meaning “daughter of God.”)

“Let’s talk about the mental aspect of losing weight and getting healthy. I’m going to be honest with you, when I was heavy I hated leaving the house. I felt judged,” Jameson’s caption read. “I felt eyes on me everywhere. I could hear others internal monologue saying ‘damn, Jenna Jameson let herself go’ ugh.”

Let’s talk about the mental aspect of losing weight and getting healthy. I’m going to be honest with you, when I was heavy I hated leaving the house. I felt judged. I felt eyes on me everywhere. I could hear others internal monologue saying “damn, Jenna Jameson let herself go” ugh. All of us do this, we worry so very much how we are perceived. But beyond that shallow thinking there was deeper shame. I was disappointed in myself. I was worried I couldn’t lose the weight Sober. I’m being real with you. When I was in my addiction it was easy to stay thin. Sobriety and being overweight was new to me. I kept telling myself if I could beat addiction and stay sober, I can easily lose the weight… and I did. The healthy way. And as of today I can say my mental game is STRONG. I feel I can do anything, I conquered abuse, addiction, PTSD and depression. Thank you for listening and please tell me your stories below, I read every comment 💋 #weightloss #weightlossjourney #keto #ketodiet #sober #sobriety #beforeandafter #fitmom #mentalhealth

The Jewish mother of three expressed how scared she was to get her pre-baby body back, without the help of drugs. “I was worried I couldn’t lose the weight sober,” Jameson wrote. “When I was in my addiction it was easy to stay thin.”

Reminding herself that she was able to beat addiction and stay sober throughout her pregnancy, Jameson realized she was mentally strong enough to lose the new weight on her own, in “the healthy way.”

“As of today I can say my mental game is STRONG,” Jameson wrote. “I feel like I can do anything, I conquered abuse, addiction, PTSD and depression.”

The former porn star asked her followers to share their weight loss journeys, and promised that she reads every comment.
